DoorDash: Completion rate below 80% deactivation appeal

Independent self-help tool. We are not DoorDash, not affiliated with DoorDash, and we never ask for your DoorDash password.

Check my DoorDash notice freeFree check first. The full written appeal is $34 flat, with a free rewrite if it's denied.

What this deactivation means

You completed under 80% of accepted orders (measured after ~20 orders), usually from unassigning too many. Acceptance rate does NOT cause deactivation.

Where and when to appeal

Channel
In-app 'Start appeal' button, or the appeal form linked in your deactivation email. You cannot appeal through Dasher Support.
Deadline
1 year from deactivation to file the first appeal (Seattle Dashers: 90 days).
Decision time
Usually a few business days; appeals are reviewed by DoorDash staff. Track status live in the app.

The evidence that moves this reason

  • Completion-rate history showing the drop was a one-time dip
  • App-glitch screenshots
  • Records of drops for safety or closed stores / orders never ready
  • GPS timeline

What actually works

DoorDash treats this number as final, so begging won't move it. Go through the orders you dropped and explain the ones that weren't your fault (store closed, order never ready, unsafe area). Show the number doesn't reflect how reliable you are, and say what you've changed so it won't drop again.

Be realistic: platforms rarely reverse this one. Your appeal needs strong proof of what really caused it, not an apology or a plea.

Denied, or planning the next move? The full guide (re-appeals, report disputes, arbitration) is on the DoorDash appeal page.
